Sometimes situations make a believer out of an atheist. This Independence Day, the Shirdi Sai Baba shrine was so crowded with devotees that it took almost 5 hours to reach the Samadhi. That situation saw me chanting Om Sai Om sai… because I knew that I will get no bus back to Pune and it will be almost 3 o clock at night when I reach Pune and then I’ll get no autos to Pashan where I stay.
Only a miracle could save me…get me home safely on time. I had not eaten anything that day. A miracle did take place and I ultimately reached home safely. The outskirts especially Baner area is very insecure at night and for a young good looking girl…I can quote the Jab We Met dialogue. “Akeli Ladki khuli tijori ke tarah hoti hai”.
Well sorry for praising my looks. I will say I am just a young girl, that’s it. I can also say that men can be so unchivalrous. That goes for the person who accompanied me, who I could say was such a loser. I had actually not asked for anything substantial for myself. Only for people I knew. Well I would love to take my mom there but don’t know if she will like it. I respect the guy…Sadguru Sai. It takes so much of charisma to inspire people even when you are gone. Such is the power of faith and belief, and positive thinking is everything.
